Four Friday sessions are planned for this study: November 28 (Books I-III), December 12 (Books IV-VII), January 2 (Books VIII-X), and January 16 (Books XI-XIII). Program participants may join the study either in-person or online. All sessions will meet from 6:00-8:00pm.
Join us for a transformative journey through one of the greatest spiritual masterpieces of all time—The Confessions of St. Augustine. Written more than 1,600 years ago, this timeless work is far more than an autobiography; it is the story of a restless heart searching for God and finding peace in divine grace. Augustine’s honest reflections on temptation, conversion, faith, and love speak powerfully to every generation, reminding us that the human heart still longs for the same truth, goodness, and beauty he sought.
In this study, we will explore Augustine’s inner life and spiritual awakening, his dialogue with ancient philosophy, and his profound insights into prayer, memory, and the mystery of God. Whether you are new to Augustine or returning to him after many years, this study offers an opportunity to encounter the depth of Christian wisdom that continues to shape Western thought and nourish the soul.
Come and see why The Confessions remains a cornerstone of Christian spirituality—and a mirror in which every believer can glimpse his or her own journey toward God.
