What is a
Speaker Series?
By virtue of
our Baptism and Confirmation, we are encouraged to continue our formation in the
faith. To address this need, St. John's has provided what we call St. John's
Speaker Series. For over twenty years, this program has provided high
quality speakers who are knowledgeable about the Catholic faith. These speakers
have tackled many key issues or questions, from theology to spirituality. St.
John's Speaker Series is not only a vehicle by which to teach but also to share
the love of our Catholic faith.
Our goal is to
continue providing the best speakers and programs that will address current
issues of our Catholic faith and topics critical to living out a life in line
with Christ's mandate to share the "Good News."
So how can
you help?
Besides being
an active "Speaker Series" attendee, we also need dedicated volunteers who are
willing to give up a couple of hours to help set up these talks. So, we are
looking for individuals who are willing to assist in lining up speakers, setting
up on the "day of", or providing ideas/topics for future Speaker Series. If you
would like to volunteer to help out as a member of our Adult Education Program,
please contact the Religious Ed Office at (414) 321-8922.
