Welcome to St. John the Evangelist's Religious Education Website!

St. John’s Religious Ed Program includes: Pre-Baptism, K4-5 Kindergarten, Grades 1-10 and Confirmation, Sacrament Preparation, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), Adult Education (Speaker Series and Scripture Study), and Outreach (Homeschooled Families). We provide the best instructors to teach the Catholic faith to those of our parish. We use the following textbook series: I Am Special (Our Sunday Visitor) for Kindergarten; Christ Our Life series (Loyola Press) for Grades 1-8; and, the Catholicism Life, Reason and Society series (C.R. Publications/Our Sunday Visitor) for Grades 9-10 and Confirmation, Ignatius Press for Sacrament Preparation, and Little Rock Scripture Series for our Bible Study. Our formation classes are held generally from September through early May and follow the area’s school schedule of vacations for Christmas and Easter.

Our main goal is to teach the Catholic faith to the children,youth, and adults of our parish. We are a resource to our parents who are the primary educators of their children.

We are true to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church and are in compliance with all the requirements of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, the documents overseeing catechesis, including the General Directory of Catechisis and the National Directory of Catechesis.
